Mt. Washington; December 2002:

A peak into Tucks...can you see the avalanche danger?

Can you spot the exposed skin?

Emile's shoelaces can be used also as spears

Pinnacle Gulley and Crawford Notch; December  13, 2003:

A beautiful alpineglow (sorry, it was more amazing w/ your own eyes)

Does Tom look cold? The temp was -5 F and the wind wasn't helping

Tom w/ the sun rising behind

The rocks were covered by a smooth sheet of ice

Approaching Pinnacle Gully

W/ frozen hands and feet, we attempt to rack up, but decide to bail. The idea of topping out in 70 mph winds w/ gusts up to 107 mph and a windchill of -48 F did not sound inviting

Huntington Ravine from the gully

We had time in the afternoon to head to Crawford Notch for a sketchy but fun lead on Waterfall, WI3

Nothing like a sketchy 25 foot runout on thin ice, rock, and frozen dirt above a screw you tied off short
